The article presents the results of experimental research significant other's influence on personality identity representation. phenomenon presence is considered as a component self-identification mechanism, it allows to define character its content. was carried out sample 86 students Samara University. Google-form testing identify cognitive orientation (individualistic/collectivistic), narrative method verbal markers identity, "target choice" experiment distribution gain in situations primary spontaneous choice and with imagined other were conducted. findings analyzed toward an intergroup comparison "individualists" "collectivists" both using Fisher's angular transformation. regulator activity revealed. motivator prosocial for individualistic "individualists". category "person" marker social identity. People collectivist use representation, referring themselves all humanity. this aspect "person set individual traits," allowing stand from group, emphasize their uniqueness.
